For the LOVE of Sprouts!
Sprouting lentils at home is easy and fun to do. They make a nutritious addition to sandwiches, salads, wraps or just a quick little snack that packs a lot of punch. You don’t need much in the way of equipment for sprouting lentils, either.
What you need:- 1 Mason Jar- Cheesecloth- Rubber band
- ¼ cup lentils- Filtered Water
- 3 days timeAnd that's it!
What to do:
Day 1
Soak lentils in 2 inches of water in the PM and leave overnight
Day 2
Rinse in the AM and leave draining in an upside down position during the day
Rinse in the PM and leave draining in an upside down position overnight
Day 3
Rinse in the AM and leave draining in an upside down position during the day
Rinse in the PM and leave draining in an upside down position overnight
Day 4Ready to eat!!!
You will know your lentils are done when they have sprouted little tails! If the little tails have sprouted another tail then they have gone a little too far.
